The Message

Caritas Malta is the Catholic Church Secretariat for Social and Charitable action. It has been some time since we have been planning to go on the web and finally I am pleased to welcome you on board! Caritas Malta has over thirty years of history. We are members of Caritas Europa and Caritas Internationalis.

As Caritas Malta encounters the reality of social and economic inequalities, and discerns their underlying causes, it is committed, in solidarity, to stand alongside people in difficulty, sharing its resources, working together with other social partners on programmes which raise public awareness, promoting human development, and voicing the rights of socially disadvantaged people.

The Third Millennium challenge for Caritas Malta is to renew its preferential option for the poor and continue responding to their real needs. For this reason we offer projects, programmes and services for the benefit of those in need. On behalf of all our staff, volunteers and clients, I welcome you in our broad family.
