Co-ordinates research and action at parish level. It operates the Poverty
Watch to monitor poverty in Malta through the identification of its old
and new forms of poverty and their causes

Services offered to individuals/families with social problems and special
needs. It provides a framework and support to various self-help groups,
support to Usury Victims Foundation and provides HIV/ Aids pre and post
test counselling.
HelpAge
Services and programmes that cater for the needs of older persons in the
community.
Prevention Education
Awareness
Various programmes catering for children, youths, adults, and older people.
It operates in different settings including schools, parishes, and industries
and on a national level.
New Hope
New Hope is a Foundation for the Rehabilitation of Drug Users. It incorporates
different programmes catering for different age groups and specific needs
such as persons coming from prison and teenagers.
Support Groups (within Caritas Malta)
Caritas Malta provides a framework and
support to Self -Help Groups. This includes the provision of group rooms,
reception for referrals, training and supervision when required. The support
groups can also make use of other internal services.
Foundation for
Victams of Usury
The foundation has been recently set up in October 2000. The aim of the
foundation is to offer help and advice to the victims of usury. The service
is offered at the Caritas Malta Head Office 5, Lion Street Floriana For
an appointment phone the reception. You will be given an appointment with
the team of the foundation.
